CPIE holds educational excellence as an expectation for all children regardless of their levels of ability.

CPIE supports the goals of promoting inclusive education for students with disabilities. Consistent with the Salamanca Accord which requires the delivery educational services in the least restrictive environment, and with research indicating the benefits of inclusive education for students with and without disabilities. CPIE strives to educate students with disabilities in general classrooms to the maximum extent appropriate.

CPIE supports the need to establish classroom environments and school communities that provide an equitable education for its students. To tis end, every school in Sierra Leone and in other African countries should commit to identifying and removing barriers to the presence, participation and achievement of students with disabilities in general edu sustained by small grants and donations. Our work is driven by a commitment to overcome barriers to learning and participation for all children and young people in Sierra Leone. Our activities include Advocating and campaigning, research, training, consultancy and dissemination of information.

At the heart of CPIE is the mission: To encourage, embolden and empower various stakeholders in education - governments, educators, parents and students - in developing countries especially Sierra Leone to design and implement effective inclusive schools, by sharing insights and best practices and by providing opportunities for connection. CPIE provides year-round opportunities for families and educators to meet others on the same journey of building and sustaining inclusive schools and communities.
